In the first half, Ajay Sareen’s team — comprising Sarabjeet Singh, Jaskaran Singh, Puneet Jain, Bhavnesh Jangra and Varinder Singh — showed strong coordination. Bhavnesh Jangra opened the scoring with a well-executed goal, followed by another goal from Varinder Singh.

In the second half, Avtar Singh’s team — including Gore, Harry Singh, Gurjot Bajwa, Tarsem Lal and vice-president Rovin — mounted a comeback. Rovin netted a spectacular goal, and Harry Singh added another to level the score.

The closely contested match ended in a 2-2 draw. On the occasion, Tarsem Lal highlighted the importance of promoting sports among youth as part of an anti-drug awareness initiative. He emphasised that engaging schoolchildren in sports from an early age contributes to building a healthier and brighter “Rangla Punjab.”
