The selection trials for the Punjab Sub-Junior Women’s Hockey Team, set to represent the state at the upcoming 15th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women’s National Championship, were successfully concluded on Sunday at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar.

The national championship will take place in Ranchi, Jharkhand, from July 3 to July 13. Hockey Punjab President Nitin Kohli and General Secretary Amrik Singh Powar shared that the selection panel shortlisted 40 players who will now begin intensive training at a coaching camp in Jalandhar starting next week.

The selection committee included prominent figures such as Olympians Rajinder Singh Senior and Sanjeev Kumar, international player Yogita Bali and others.
