Educationist Sharmila Nakra launched her debut poetry collection, ‘Surkh Gulabo Ka Mausam’, at an event at the Punjab Press Club. Hosted by LitSpark and Mahila Kavya Manch, the event brought together literary figures to celebrate Nakra’s achievement in her writing journey.

Dr Ram Murthy, a poet, writer, editor and critic, was the chief guest, with bilingual poet and editor Professor Seema Jain as the special guest. Professor Sarla Bhardwaj also attended as the guest of honour.

Nakra and her family welcomed the guests warmly, setting the tone for an afternoon filled with poetry and camaraderie. Dr Murthy, Professor Jain and Professor Bhardwaj shared their thoughtful reviews of ‘Surkh Gulabo Ka Mausam’, commending Nakra’s expression and encouraging her to continue her poetic journey.

The event featured compositions from Nakra’s collection, presented by LitSpark and Mahila Kavya Manch representatives. Urdu poet Kimti Qaiser and poet Jagdish Rana also recited their works.
