Probe alleged corruption in Jalandhar MC, BJYM asks Bhagwant Mann
Jalandhar, July 14
The BJP Yuva Morcha has written to CM Bhagwant Mann on the issue of alleged corruption in the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation.
BJYM vice-president Ashok Sareen Hickey has sought a formal inquiry by the Vigilance Bureau into the charges of corruption of crores of rupees raised by various councillors in the meeting yesterday. He also attaching news paper reports of the same with his complaint.
In his letter to the CM Sareen alleged Rs 1,950 crore had been allocated by the Centre for the Smart City project and other related works, but MC offcials, in connivance with contractors, had allegedly not utlisied the money properly.
