Junior Engineer (JE) of PUDA, Mohit Dugg, has once again showcased his exceptional talent by winning a gold medal at the state-level powerlifting championship organised in Patiala by Powerlifting India. Competing in the 83 kg weight category, Mohit clinched the top spot with an impressive bench press of 162.5 kg, securing his place in the upcoming national championship.

Mohit had earlier brought laurels to the country by winning a gold medal in Manchester in 2023. With multiple gold medals in the state, national and international powerlifting competitions, Mohit continues to set new benchmarks in the sport.

Balancing the demands of his professional life, Mohit Dugg also dedicates his time in training aspiring athletes at his gym in Maqsudan and offers online training programmes too. Reflecting on his achievement, Mohit attributed his success to the blessings of his parents and emphasised on the importance of health and fitness in daily life.

“It’s crucial to spare some time for physical activity every day,” said Mohit.

“Health and fitness play a significant role in our lives, and I’m grateful to be able to inspire others through my journey,” he added.
