Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Raman Arora has reportedly been arrested by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) while visiting a temple.

Sources claim the arrest is linked to a corruption case involving former Assistant Town Planner (ATP) of the Municipal Corporation, Sukhdev Vashisht, who was arrested last week.

Arora allegedly used Vashisht to issue bogus notices and extort money from targeted individuals. A VB raid was also conducted at Arora’s residence following his arrest.

Arora's security was withdrawn 10 days ago. He had 14 security personnel, all of whom had been taken back on the government order. Action against him was expected since then. More details are awaited.
