Hours after she joined AAP on Tuesday, Surjit Kaur is back in the Shiromani Akali Dal.

She has been the official candidate of the SAD for the Jalandhar West bypoll.

Ex-MLA Gurpartap Wadala said Kaur who was suffering from hypertension was made to join AAP and when her BP normalised, she decided to be back in the SAD fold.

He said she was misguided and told that she was being taken for campaigning.

Kaur said, “I was tutored by CM Bhagwant Mann to say that I liked AAP’s policies and hence joined it.”

Wadala said, “We are getting calls from abroad to support Kaur. SAD supporters in the US and Canada were upset that the SAD was supporting the BSP candidate.
