The selection trials for the Punjab Junior Women’s Hockey Team, which will participate in the 15th Hockey India Junior Women’s National Championship, will be held on July 19 (Saturday) at 8.00 am at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium, Jalandhar.

The championship is scheduled to be held in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, from August 1 to August 12. Announcing the trials, Hockey Punjab President Nitin Kohli and General Secretary Amrik Singh Powar stated that only players born on or after January 1, 2006 are eligible to take part.

All aspiring players must carry their original Aadhaar card to the venue. The officials have made it clear that no player will be allowed to participate without the original Aadhaar, as it is mandatory for identity verification during the trials.

Following the selection, a coaching camp will be held for the shortlisted players to prepare for the national championship. The trials aim to identify and nurture promising hockey talent across the state.
