The selection trials for the Punjab Men’s Hockey Team, which will compete in the 38th National Games, are scheduled for January 8 at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar. The trials will begin at 10 am and are open to players who aspire to represent Punjab at the National Games in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
Punjab Hockey president Nitin Kohli and general secretary Amrik Singh Powar announced that a selection committee has been formed for these trials. They urged all hockey players from Punjab to participate.

The officials also stressed that players must be registered with Hockey India to be eligible for the trials. “Only players who are registered with Hockey India will be allowed to participate,” they stated. Additionally, a coaching camp will be organised for the players selected through these trials.
