Under the ‘Punjabi Month’ being celebrated by the Language Department, Punjab, a state-level quiz competition was organised here at IK Gujral Punjab Technical University in which students from 66 schools and colleges took part. They were selected out of more than 4,000 students from across the state .
In the quiz competition below class 8, Navkaran Singh of MR City Public School, Balachaur, bagged the top position, followed by Ravneet Kaur of Baba Farid School, Faridkot and Agamjot Kaur of Shivalik Public School, Chandigarh.

In the class 9 to 12 category, Sukhman Kaur of Dashmesh SS School, Badal in Sri Muktsar Sahib got the first position whereas Pari from Government Senior Secondary School, Kot Baba Deep Singh, came second. Partika Amardeep from Mukandpur school was placed third.
In college category, Sukhpreet Kaur of Government College, Ropar bagged the top position
