SSP Surendra Lamba on Monday said the police had constituted four teams to arrest the accused indulged in the murder of the father-son duo late last evening at Bullowal. He said the accused had also been identified.

Visiting the crime scene, Lamba said the teams were carrying out searches and conducting raids at different locations. He said the accused would be in the police net soon.

The SSP said the prima facie investigation revealed that that the root cause of the murder was an old enmity. He said soon after the matter came to light, police teams rushed the spot. He said the father-son duo was killed due to bullet injuries, while two children sustained injuries.

“During investigation, it came to the fore that the accused and complainant (brother and son of the deceased) had an old enmity and FIR was registered,” said the SSP, adding that the police were conducting raids for the arrest of the accused as the murder case had been registered against them.
