A 21-year-old star cricketer from Jalandhar, Harnoor Singh, will be part of Punjab Kings in IPL 2025.

Harnoor, an emerging cricket sensation, belongs to the family of cricketers. While his father, who is a presenter at the All-India Radio, played in the U-19 North zone cricket tournament, his grandfather played the Ranji trophy. Harnoor got trained under his paternal uncle, who is a cricket coach in Chandigarh.

Bir Inder Singh, Harnoor’s father, is elated at the achievement.

“There was always an atmosphere of sports in our home,” he told The Tribune, adding that Harnoor always thought about cricket and worked hard in this direction.

A shopaholic Harnoor, who likes to buy branded shoes and loves to play video games like PS-5, started playing cricket at the age of 10.

“His career is reaching heights. It is giving us a sense of pride,” his father further said.

His stellar performances clinched him various titles. Harnoor was declared the player of the tournament in the U-19 Asia Cup that was held in 2022 and player of the tournament in Sher-e-Punjab T-20 cup.
