Rayat Bahra Professional University organised an informative seminar on Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) at the Department of Allied and Health Care Sciences.
The session was chaired by Principal Dr Harinder Gill and Department Head Dr Sukhmeet Bedi. Dr Neetu Sareen, an expert in the field, addressed students, explaining that HPV is a prevalent sexually transmitted infection, with certain strains linked to severe health conditions, including cervical cancer. She highlighted the importance of the HPV vaccine as a highly effective preventive measure.
The seminar also provided valuable information on timely screenings and the significance of vaccination for the prevention of cervical cancer. Dr Sukhmeet Bedi emphasised that public awareness of the HPV vaccine is crucial for health protection.
