GNA University, Phagwara, along with Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd, on Tuesday hosted country’s largest online cooking together event. Both the organisations joined hands for this event wherein 977 persons (including professional chefs, student chefs and home cooks) across 350 cities, 25 states and 11 countries cooked together at the same time and attempted a record for ‘most people cooking together online’.

Application ‘Zoom’ provided the platform for the event. Around 1,250 persons registered themselves for the event from across the world. Everyone followed the recipe of chef Varinder Singh Rana. The ingredients list was shared and all participants followed instructions online. A unique and a simple dish largely eaten by people of North India was prepared. People from 11 countries like the USA, Canada, Botswana Africa, UAE, Indonesia etc cooked together and and the whole world witnessed it through Facebook Live also.
