The 54th KVS Regional Sports Meet (Phase II) of the Chandigarh region entered its second day with energy and competitive spirit at Lovely Professional University (LPU), as around 500 girls showcased their athletic prowess across multiple sports disciplines.

Participants from various Kendriya Vidyalayas are competing in games like kho-kho, badminton, basketball, boxing and volleyball. With quarterfinal and semifinal rounds underway, the event is building excitement ahead of the final matches scheduled for April 25.

In the Under-14 girls basketball semifinals, KV No. 3, Bathinda, is set to take on KV No. 1, Hussainpur, while KV OCF 29, Chandigarh will face KV, Highgrounds. The winners of these closely contested matches will vie for top honours in the final.

To ensure smooth conduct, Principal Ravinder Kumar visited the venue and reviewed the arrangements. The event is being jointly coordinated by officials from KVS and LPU, including VK Kaul, Kewal Krishan Sangha, Amit Tomar, Ugra Mohan Yadav, Balraj and Neelam Sehgal.

The winners of the ongoing competitions will represent the Chandigarh region in the upcoming KVS National Sports Meet.
