On the instructions of Cabinet Minister and local MLA Bramshankar Jimpa, the repair work on the Hoshiarpur-Chintpurni road started today. The Cabinet Minister said the repair work had been started on a war footing to facilitate the journey of the pilgrims during the Mata Chintapurni festival and ‘Sawan’ fair.

He said people going to Mata Chintapurni and Himachal Pradesh had to face a lot of trouble due to the dilapidated national highway, but the central government was not paying any attention to its repair. As residents of Hoshiarpur had been constantly raising this issue, the minister said, the repair work on the road was started today by the state government and the administration.
