Former BJP Rajya Sabha MP Avinash Rai Khanna met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss the issues of people of Punjab. Khanna apprised the minister of the demands of the public and requested him to start Jaijon-Jalandhar train soon.

Khanna told the Railway Minister that Jaijon railway station is a historical station which was built by the British in 1914. Jalandhar is an important station from the business point of view. Khanna said the train from Jaijon to Jalandhar discontinued during the Covid period. Since then, people of Jaijon and nearby areas were facing inconvenience.
