Punjab Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rouri inaugurated a road construction project worth Rs 2.15 crore in Mahilpur, part of the Garhshankar subdivision.

Addressing the residents, Rouri emphasised that the initiative fulfills promises made during the nagar panchayat elections. He highlighted that the new roads will not only improve connectivity for villages but also boost agricultural and business activities in the region. “This development will be a boon for farmers, traders and the general public,” he remarked.

The Deputy Speaker also outlined the Punjab Government’s comprehensive infrastructure development plan for the Garhshankar area, which includes improvements in roads, water supply, healthcare and education facilities. He reiterated that this project aligns with the state government’s commitment to “all-round development.”

Rouri instructed officials to ensure that the construction work is completed efficiently, transparently, and within the stipulated timeframe, reaffirming the government’s dedication to quality infrastructure.
