An amount of Rs 5 crore 64 lakh has been approved for the construction of boundary walls at 100 government schools in the Hoshiarpur district.

Giving this information, Member of Parliament Dr Rajkumar Chabbewal said that the amount would ensure the safety of schools and create a conducive environment for children.

The amount will be spent in those schools of the area where there is no boundary wall or their condition has become dilapidated.

He said that this investment in education would play an important role in securing the school building and material.

Meanwhile, the MLA from Chabbewal, Dr Ishank informed residents that an amount of Rs 82.80 lakh had been approved, especially for schools of the Chabbewal Assembly constituency.
