While inaugurating the project at Taragarh, Dr Singh stated that the 7.76-km stretch, extending from the Hoshiarpur-Jalandhar road to the Haryana-Shamchurasi road, is being widened to 14 feet. Additionally, the bridge at Sandhra village on this route is also being expanded to 8.5 metres. The total cost of the project stands at Rs 5.33 crore.
He noted that the poor condition of the road had caused significant inconvenience to residents for a long time. The upgraded road, he said, will greatly improve connectivity and ease travel for the local population.
