Rural polls: Police stage flag march in Nakodar

Thought-provoking Opinions, Expert Analysis, In-depth Insights and other Member Only BenefitsFollowing the guidelines of SSP of the District Jalandhar (Rural) Harvinder Singh Virk, DSP, Nakodar, Onkar Singh Brar conducted a massive flag march in all villages of the subdivision along with teams of Chief Officer of Police Station, Nurmahal, Inspector Palwinder Singh, Chief Officer of Police Station City Sub-Inspector Harminder Singh Sandhu and Chief Officer of Police Station Sadar Sub-Inspector Dilbagh Singh along with heavy police force.
The main objective of the flag march was to ensure the upcoming Block Samiti and Zila Parishad elections in a peaceful and fair manner. During the flag march, the citizens were advised to exercise their right to vote without fear and cooperate with the police administration in maintaining peace.
Along with this, the police clearly warned miscreants that if anyone tries to disrupt the law and order, strictest legal action will be taken against them.
The police also said the public can register any complaint or give information on helpline 112.
