Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rajesh Grover, Director of Science City, emphasised the significance of the day, which is observed every year on June 15.

He stated that Nature Photography Day is a celebration of the joy and wonder that nature brings into our lives. Photography, he added, is a powerful artistic medium that enables us to capture and share the splendour and fragility of the natural world.

Dr Grover further elaborated on the vital role that nature photography plays in promoting environmental awareness. “At a time when human activities are increasingly impacting the planet, nature photography serves as both a reminder and a record of what we stand to lose.

It urges us to reconnect with nature and take action to protect our environment and biodiversity,” he added. The event inspired visitors to appreciate and preserve the natural beauty around them.
