A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 40-year-old man on the Phagwara-Hoshiarpur road today after he came under a trailer after his scooter slipped. The deceased Manjeet Singh was a resident of Naru.

Manjeet Singh, who worked at a local factory, was riding his scooter towards Phagwara when his vehicle reportedly slipped, causing him to fall onto the road.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
