Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Anamjyot Kaur held a review meeting with officials and directed them to complete all necessary arrangements well in time to ensure the smooth conduct of the programmes. According to the schedule, a Kirtan Darbar will be organised on November 15 at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib, Banga Road, Nawanshahr, where devotees will be enlightened about the Guru’s divine teachings, life and supreme sacrifice. Similarly, another Kirtan Darbar will be held on November 16 at Gurdwara Chhevi Patshahi, Durgapur village.

The SDM instructed officials from all departments concerned to make comprehensive arrangements for the events, ensuring adequate facilities for the participating devotees. The state government is organising state-wide commemorative events, which will continue until November 25.

From November 1 to 18, Light-and-Sound shows are being held across various districts, depicting the Guru’s life, philosophy and sacrifice.

The grand concluding events will be held at Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 23 to 25, where a large-scale congregation of devotees is expected. A ‘tent city’, named ‘Chakk Nanaki’, will be set up to accommodate the devotees arriving in large numbers.
