In this connection, she had bought a new laptop on Friday. Taking along the new laptop, she went to pay obeisance at Gurdwara Pul Pukhta Sahib on a motorcycle with another student, Pratham, a resident of Jaja. After paying obeisance at the gurdwara, she was returning when a speeding tractor-trailer coming back from Hola Mohalla celebrations in Sri Anandpur Sahib hit their bike near Shahbazpur village. Anjali Gill was seriously injured in the accident. She was rushed to a hospital in Jalandhar, but died on the way.
