The Additional DC (G), Nawanshahr, Rajiv Verma, today convened a meeting of members of the Local Complaints Committee to ensure the compliance with the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act in the district.

Emphasising the importance of the workplace safety, he instructed members to ensure that all offices established an internal committee as mandated by the Act.

Verma also highlighted the need for strict action against firms failing to adhere to these provisions, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to uphold the rights and well-being of employees. This initiative aimed at fostering a conducive work environment.

During the review meeting, the ADC issued guidelines that any establishment with 10 or more employees must constitute an interim grievance committee.
