A wave of joy swept across Samundra village in the Garhshankar subdivision as Shivam Kaushal achieved the rank of Lieutenant in the Indian Army. His arrival in his native village today turned into a grand celebration.

Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rouri personally visited Shivam's residence to extend his best wishes and blessings for a bright future. He lauded Shivam's achievement as a matter of pride not only for his family but also for the entire region.

The villagers accorded a warm welcome to Shivam, garlanding him and dancing to the beats of traditional drums. His proud parents, Dharmveer Rana and Urmila Devi, shared their happiness, recalling his journey of determination and hard work.

Shivam completed his primary education at Doaba Public Senior Secondary School, Parowal, Garhshankar, before pursuing a B.Tech in Agriculture from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana.
