Shots fired outside nambardar’s house

Mahilpur (Hoshiarpur), March 4

Two youths, said to be from gangster Chaudhary group, fired seven rounds in front of nambardar’s house and fled after throwing a threat letter in the house at Bugra village. The incident reportedly took place around 2.30 pm here today.

According to information, two youths came outside the house of nambardar Kashmir Singh at Bugra village and opened fire in front of the house. One of the bullets hit the gate. The house was locked at the time of the incident, while the nambardar’s father, daughter, daughter-in-law and granddaughter were present in another house.

The youths came in a white car which they had parked at some distance. Both suspects were wearing caps and carrying revolvers.

After receiving information, the police reached the spot. Police officials said the suspects belonged to the same group that sought extortion money by firing bullets at the Chawla Cloth House in Mahilpur on February 11. DSP Parminder Singh Garhshankar, SHO Baljinder Singh Mahilpur, CIA staff team and other senior officials also reached the spot.
