Skill training seminar held for rehabilitated youth in Kapurthala

As part of the ongoing battle against drug abuse, the District Employment and Business Bureau (DEBB), under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman Amit Kumar Panchal, organised a special skill training seminar on Monday at the OST (Opioid Substitution Therapy) Centre in Civil Hospital, Kapurthala.

District Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Officer Rajan Sharma explained that the initiative aims to empower youth who have overcome addiction by providing them with vocational skills. This effort is designed to help them become self-reliant and re-enter the workforce through self-employment opportunities.

Sharma further mentioned that individuals seeking assistance with skill training can visit the District Employment and Business Bureau at the New Administrative Complex, Kapurthala, from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM on any working day or contact the helpline at 988219247.
