Acting swiftly, a police team intercepted Chander who was travelling in a white car. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 14 boxes of illegal liquor carrying various labels.

An FIR has been registered against the accused under Sections 61-1-14 of the Excise Act at Division Number 2 Police Station.

The Commissioner of Police confirmed that further investigations were underway to determine the extent of the smuggling network and possible links to other illegal operations.
