Punjab Skill Development Mission under the initiative of Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan organised sports activities in the observation home for girls here recently. The event was held under the Department of Women and Child Development in association with the Department of Sports.

Inderjeet Singh, Additional Civil Judge, apprised the children regarding the importance of games for becoming a good citizen and how to lead a healthy life by giving real time examples. The event started with presentation of badminton kits to the children. Seven matches were held to declare the winner. The matches saw loud cheers and clearly showed how it led to breaking the monotony and a mundane routine of their lives.

The winner was awarded with trophy during the Lohri celebration by Simranjit Kaur, Mission Manager, Punjab Skill Development Mission-cum-Member, Punjab State Child Welfare Committee. She thanked all the representative of the department for making the event a success.
