Jalandhar: To celebrate Baisakhi with farmers, the Five Rivers Heart Association in collaboration with Punjab Wrestling Association are organising a sports event on April 13 at Tikri border. Sikh martial arts, cricket, wrestling (mud), kabbadi, body building, horse racing, athletics, turban tying competition, volleyball and various games will be held. Free medical assistance camps will also be available all the time. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
