Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer today said the Punjab Government was focusing on promoting sports culture in the state and multipurpose sports parks were being set up in the villages so that the energy of the youth could be channelised in the right direction.

Inspecting a multipurpose sports park being built in Khaira Kotli village of Dasuya, he said the government was making such sports parks in all villages so that the youth could stay away from drugs and develop their career in sports. He said the main focus of the Punjab Government was to provide facilities to the people in the field of sports, education and health. The minister was accompanied by Dasuya MLA Karambir Singh Ghumman and Urmar MLA Jasvir Raja Gill.
