Students awarded degrees at GNA varsity

GNA University held its convocation ceremony for 2024 batches in the presence of the chief guest, Deep Kapuria, Chairman, Hi-Tech Group. Chancellor Gurdeep Singh Sirha, Vice-Chancellor Dr Hemant Sharma, Deputy Registrar Kunal Bains, Dean Academics Dr Monika Hanspal and Deputy Controller Examination Dr Anil Pandit graced the occasion.

Kamini Verma and Parneet Kaur managed the event as the Master of Ceremony. They introduced the academic event. The convocation procession started with the felicitation of the chief guest, Deep Kapuria, by the Chancellor Gurdeep Singh Sihra. After that, Vice-Chancellor Dr Hemant Sharma gave the welcome address and presented the annual report of the university.

The chief guest advised the students on the importance of humility in life as knowledge can come from anywhere. Kapuria was awarded the Doctorate of Philosophy in Industrial Management for his remarkable journey in the field of engineering and technology.

The university also conferred Honoris Causa on HP Singh, Chairman and Managing Director of Satin Credit care Network Limited, Gurgaon, for his contribution towards the field of business and finance.

The honorable dignitaries awarded the degrees to achievers bagging gold (23), silver (24) and bronze (18) medals, along with 9 Ph.D, 69 post-graduate and 373 undergraduate students from diverse disciplines like engineering, business school, hospitality, computational science, natural sciences, English, animation and multimedia, physical education and sports.
