On Sunday the play 'Suno na Yaar' written by Chirag Khandelwal and directed by Vibha Chibber won hearts in a packed hall at the KL Saigal Memorial during the ongoing 11th Yuvaa Rangh Utsav by Yuvaa Theatre. Impressive performances by Rajinder Sharma Nanu, Vibha Chibber, Pihu, Arush and Dhruv, charmed the city theatre lovers.

The play 'Suno Na Yaar' explores the intricacies of everyday relationships — the things we say, the things we hide, and the things that never quite become words. Often, behind our laughter and jokes lies a pain that we neither fully understand nor know how to share. The play conveys serious emotions with a light touch - without heavy dialogues, many things are felt simply through their presence. It's a story about the complexities of relationships, unspoken pain, and the silence that exists, in some way or another, in every home, in every person's life.

On Saturday, the festival opened with “The Overcoat”, inspired by Nikolai Gogol’s iconic short story. Yuvaa Theatre’s adaptation presented a moving elegy to poor workers crushed under the weight of capitalism. The narrative follows a lowly clerk in a clothing warehouse who dreams of owning an overcoat he cannot afford. Ridiculed by his boss and denied warmth, he dies a miserable death — and returns as a ghost, still without a coat. The play is a stark reminder of the plight of the underprivileged and their struggle for dignity.

Next week at Yuvaa Rang Utsav, city residents will witness two classics 'Wo Afsana' and Arthur Miller’s 'All My Sons' in Hindi.
