The MC Joint Commissioner has asked the Tehbazari Department to make people aware of precautions against the coronavirus threat.

MC officials said it was important that people understand the importance of social distancing to avoid the transmission of the disease.They added that people should be responsible enough to take precautions regularly as the next two weeks are crucial.

Recently, MC inspectors were asked to make sanitary workers aware of the disease. The MC will provide sanitary workers masks and it would be compulsory for them to wear the same.

Besides, no worker will be allowed to take leave for the next 14 days. “At this time, cleanliness is essential. Therefore, proper checks will be conducted in all wards,” MC Joint Commissioner Harcharan Singh said.
