Tension prevailed in Sukhchain Nagar late Thursday night after three cars parked outside a residence caught fire under mysterious circumstances.

According to local resident Kuldeep Singh, the family was asleep when they heard a noise around 2:30 am. Upon stepping outside, they saw flames engulfing the vehicles. Fire brigade teams were immediately alerted and managed to bring the fire under control, but not before the vehicles sustained significant damage, reportedly amounting to nearly ₹15 lakh.

Kuldeep Singh stated that the incident appears to be an act of mischief and has urged the authorities to conduct a fair investigation. The police reached the spot shortly after the incident was reported and began collecting information to determine the cause of the fire. However, officials said the exact reason behind the blaze had yet to be established.

No injuries were reported and the police have assured that action will be taken based on evidence gathered. The incident has raised concerns among residents regarding the safety and possibility of intentional vandalism in the area.
