Three youths arrested near Kapurthala for harassing schoolgirls

According to a complaint filed by Jawahar Singh, a resident of Bhaini Hussekhan, the incident took place on August 22, when he was returning home from Hawkworth School with his children. His three nieces, identified as Raj Kaur, Mandeep Kaur, and Ramanpreet Kaur, students of Government School in Talwandi Chaudhrian, were also returning home on an electric scooter.
Singh stated that as they were on their way, three youths — Arshdeep Singh of Talwandi Chaudhrian, Harpreet, alias Harman, of Basti Chandigarh, Sultanpur Lodhi and Armaan of Gidharpindi, Jalandhar, followed them on a scooter (PB 41E 0798) and a motorcycle. The trio allegedly began teasing the girls and blocked their way, causing the schoolgirls’ vehicle to lose balance and fall.
The police confirmed that all three accused have been arrested and booked under relevant sections. The investigation is ongoing.
