Top teams secure wins on Day 6 of Punjab Hockey League

The league, jointly organised by Hockey Punjab and Round Glass Academy, saw four competitive fixtures today.
In the opening match, Round Glass Hockey Academy dominated SDAT Tamil Nadu with a 10-3 victory. Japneet Singh, Jobanpreet Singh and Gurvinder Singh each scored two goals, while Gursevak, Sukhmanpreet, Varinder and Prince contributed one goal each. For Tamil Nadu, S Vishal, S Krishnan and S Sugamulla each scored once. Jobanpreet Singh was named Player of the Match for his stellar performance.
In the second match, Naval Tata Academy Jamshedpur narrowly defeated SGPC Academy Amritsar 4-3. Tintus Hamerom and Ashish Purti scored two goals each for Naval Tata, while SGPC’s Harvinder Singh netted two goals and Diljit added one. Tintus Hamerom was awarded Player of the Match for his impactful play.
Surjit Hockey Academy overwhelmed Gumhera Academy 7-1 in the third match of the day. Abhishek Gorkhi led the scoring with two goals, while Charanjit, Manrup, Karan, Ajaypal, and Navdeep each scored one. Gumhera’s lone goal came from Parikshit. Abhishek Gorkhi earned Player of the Match honors.
The final match saw SAI Sonipat triumph 6-1 over Namdhari Academy. Ankur scored twice, while Navraj, Sirjan Yadav, Mithlesh Yadav, and Ravinder each netted one goal. Gobind Patel scored Namdhari’s only goal. Mithlesh Yadav was named Player of the Match.
