The trials will begin at 8.00 am at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar.
The championship is set to take place in Ranchi, Jharkhand, from July 3 to July 14. Announcing the details, Hockey Punjab President Nitin Kohli and General Secretary Amrik Singh Powar stated that the trials are open exclusively to players from Punjab born on or after January 1, 2009.
Aspiring participants must bring their original Aadhaar cards for verification at the time of the trials. Officials emphasised that players who fail to produce the original Aadhaar card will not be permitted to participate under any circumstances.
The selection trials aim to identify and shortlist the most promising young talent from across Punjab to represent the state at the national level. Following the trials, a coaching camp will be organised for the selected players to prepare them for the national championship.
Hockey Punjab officials have urged all eligible young players and their coaches to ensure timely arrival at the venue and to carry all necessary documents. The trials are expected to attract a significant turnout, reflecting the growing interest and participation in women’s hockey in the state.
