Two persons were arrested with illegal weapons by the Bhogpur police here. Two pistols, four magazines (7.65 mm) and four live rounds were seized by the police from the suspects.

The police said during a naka at Tandi village they checked a S-Cross vehicle. The driver revealed his name as Rahul Mattu (32) resident of Anand Vihar, Amritsar, and the person travelling with him was identified as Shiva Malhotra (26), a resident of Lahori Gate, Amritsar.

During investigation, it was revealed that the seized weapons had been kept by them in view of an ongoing fight with members of a rival gang.
