The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma, apprehended two persons involved in criminal activities and recovered a stolen motorcycle from their possession.

Commissioner Sharma revealed that police received a tip-off about two habitual offenders planning a major crime in the city. A police team set up a checkpoint at Baba Budha Ji Bridge.

During the operation, officers stopped Harish Kumar, a resident of Balmiki Mohalla, Basti Guzan, and Deepak, a resident of Dhuma Wali Street, near Phoola Wala, Jalandhar.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to having committed multiple crimes in the city. Further investigation led to the recovery of a stolen motorcycle. An FIR under Sections 304(2) and 3(5) of the BNS has been registered at Police Station, Basti Bawa Khel.

Commissioner Sharma said further investigation in the case was ongoing, with forward and backward linkages of the accused was being traced.
