Two booked for assault, intimidation

The Lohian Khas police have booked two persons on the charge of assault and criminal intimidation.

Accused ‘threw bricks’ at house

A Badshahpur resident complained to the police that she and her brother Jagdev went to a grocery shop on March 29 where the accused assaulted Jagdev and later threw pieces of bricks on their house

Investigating Officer (IO) Sukhdev Singh said the accused have been identified as Sukhdeep Singh and Nikka, residents of Badshahpur village.

Jasvir Kaur, a resident of the same village, complained to the police that she and her brother Jagdev went to a grocery shop on March 29 where the accused assaulted Jagdev and later threw pieces of bricks on their house, resulting in injuries to her brother.

A case under Section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt ), 341 (wrongful restraint), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (committing crime to further common intention) of the IPC, has been registered against the accused.
