The police have arrested two persons who had reportedly targeted a house in Ward-1 of Mahilpur and stole cash and jewellery.

SHO Raman Kumar said Onkar Singh of Mahilpur had told the police that he had gone to get medicine on September 27 and when he returned, he saw the house ransacked. They had stolen Rs 20,000, two gold sets, 6 rings, earrings, silver ornaments, 1 gold watch, and a silver necklace.

The police, on the basis of clues received from CCTV and other sources, arrested Narinder Singh, alias Ninder of Bassi Mustafa and Amrik Singh of Allahabad village under police station Sadar, Hoshiarpur.
