Two miscreants stole Rs 50,000 from a person who was returning home from a bank. The police registered a case and started investigation into the matter.

Varun Kumar, a resident of Rishi Nagar, told the police that he had withdrawn Rs 50,000 from the branch of Punjab National Bank at Prabhat Chowk. When he came out of the bank, a person stopped him. The complainant said the said person told him that he had Rs 2 lakh in cash which he wanted to send to his family. The person told Varun that he did not have an account in the bank. So, he could not send money to his family.

The accused told Varun that if he cooperates, he would deposit the amount in his account and he could send it to his family. The complainant said he refused to cooperate with the accused.

Meanwhile, another person approached Varun and engaged him in conversation. After some time, both the accused left from the spot. Later, when Varun checked his pockets, he found Rs 50,000 was missing. He alleged that the duo had stolen cash from his pocket. After registering a case, the police have started probe into the incident.
