Two youths riding a motorcycle died on the spot after being run over by a minibus at Phalahi village near Hoshiarpur on Friday.

According to information, the youths, identified as Jatinder Singh and Satwinder Singh, both residents of Harmoyan village, were going home on a motorcycle. When they reached Phalahi village, a private company’s minibus coming towards Hoshiarpur ran over them. The bike and the two youths got stuck under the bus.

Passersby took out the youths stuck under the bus after a lot of efforts, but by that time both had died. According to sources, the driver and conductor of the minibus absconded after the accident. On receiving information, Sanjiv Kumar and other officials from Mehtiana police station reached the spot and started an investigation.
