Senior BJP leaders Sucha Ram Ladhar, Manoranjan Kalia, Parminder Mehta, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal and Anil Sareen today hailed the Union Budget as growth-oriented that will induce large-scale development of infrastructure. They said the focus was primarily on agriculture growth, crop diversification and digital mapping of crops, apart from crop insurance.

In different press notes, they said all sectors, including health, education and defence, had been taken care of and adequate allocations had been made accordingly.

They said the middle class and service persons would be happy as major structural changes had been made in the income tax slabs, giving relief to employees. Educational projects and skill development was another area that needed huge appreciation. They called Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a visionary, who had given a push to economic development and welfare of the common man.

They said the Modi government’s emphasis on ‘Nari Shakti’ and development as part of its Viksit Bharat programme was another thrust area in the Budget. The pro-poor policies, IT sector, digital services and industry would be happy and so were the students who would be getting a huge support for internships and training in the IT sector.

They hailed the relief to the MSME sector which would generate employment. The strengthening of the rail network, free solar power announcement, continuation of housing schemes for the poor and economically weaker sections were the praiseworthy steps taken in the Budget.
