Three persons, including a woman, died in various road accidents while one more was injured during last 24 hours.

The police have registered three cases. According to information, Tamanna of Kirti Nagar told the police that when her husband did not return home from work till late last night, she started searching for him. She came to know that a person was lying injured near Bhangi Choe.

When she reached there after getting the information, her husband was lying there in a critical condition. When he was taken to the hospital, he was referred to the PGI from there. She said while going to the PGI, her husband died on the way. She has expressed apprehension that her husband was hit by some vehicle due to which he died.

Jaswinder Kaur, a resident of Rodian, has also lodged a complaint with the police that her son Amit Pratap Singh was hit by a bike rider near Guru Ram Das Langar Hall due to which her son died. On the complaint of the victim's mother, the police have registered a case by naming the accused biker Kulwinder Singh, alias Chiri, a resident Dholanwal.

On the other hand, Gurdial Singh, a resident of Kotli Khas, told the Mukerian police that his sister Tarsem Kaur, a resident Vohra, was returning with her niece Kulwinder Kaur on a scooty after buying goods from the market. While near Bhangala Chungi, a canter hit his sister and niece. His sister died while Kulwinder was injured. The police have registered a case against the accused driver Harjeet Singh, a resident of Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir.
