A Garhshankar-based woman has given birth to triplets in a normal delivery held at Lt Gen Bikram Singh Memorial Government Hospital at Balachaur in Nawanshahr district.

The three baby boys, weighting 1.6 kg, 1.8 kg and 1.9 kg, were born to Vimla in a span of 50 minutes, said Dr Mandeep Kamal and Dr Deepali. They said the mother and the babies were in good health.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
