Jalandhar, February 6
Ten 2018 batch IAS probationers from Andhra Pradesh met DC Varinder Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, MC Commissioner Diprava Lakra, Smart City CEO Sheena Aggarwal and SSP Navjot Singh Mahal here on Thursday and discussed various issues.
The visit was organised under the ‘Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat’ progromme. The officers included Ghanore Suraj Dhananjay, Medida Jahanvi, Narapureddy Mourya, Himanshu Kaushik, Ketan Garg, Pratishtha Mamgain, Shrivasnupur Ajaykumar, Kalpana Kumari, Videhkhare and Prudhvitej.
Welcoming the young officers, the top brass of the district administration apprised them of the glorious cultural heritage of the state. They said besides being the sword arm of the county, Punjab also has the distinction of being its food bowl. They said hard work and resilience were the basic characteristic of every Punjabi due to which they were acclaimed across the globe.
The officers also asked the young probationers to discharge their duties with utmost dedication, sincerity, honesty and professionalism. They said they hoped the newly appointed officers would take the country to the zenith of its glory.
Sub Divisional Magistrates, Amit Kumar, Rahul Sindhu and Dr Jai Inder Singh and the Assistant Director, Protocol, Andhra Pradesh, V Sharma and were among others present on the occasion.
